01What information we collect and why
When you use this research tool, we collect the information you provide directly — such as your email address when you sign up for our newsletter or create an account — as well as technical information about how you interact with our service, including device type, browser, pages visited and session duration. We collect this information to provide and improve the service, to communicate with you about updates and relevant content, and to understand how the product is being used.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to the service you have signed up for. Where we share data with third-party service providers — for example, to deliver email communications or to host the platform — we do so under data processing agreements that require those providers to handle your information in accordance with UK data protection standards.
02Your rights under UK data protection law
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to request that inaccurate information be corrected, and to ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances. You also have the right to object to certain types of processing and to request that we restrict how we use your information while a query is being resolved.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's independent data protection authority.
03Data retention and security
We retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to provide the service and to meet our legal obligations. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it in a secure manner. We review our retention practices periodically to ensure that we are not holding information for longer than is justified.
We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we are committed to maintaining robust protections and to notifying you promptly in the event of a breach that affects your rights.
